WP Geeks Host Support Guidelines

The use of services from WP Geeks Host constitutes agreement to these terms. Below is the scope and limitation of support for each product that WP Geeks Host offers. Since web hosting relies on a combination of customer-supplied client software and third-party products, it is important to define what is supported by our company and what is the responsibility of the customer and/or third-party software vendors.

Note: We currently accept support tickets via email only from your registered email address.

We Support

  • Common Services: We actively monitor and ensure all basic services are functioning, such as email, FTP, SSH, web serving, and control panel access. If you suspect a service is not working, we will manually check and confirm its performance.

  • Server Software: We maintain and secure all server-based software including Apache, MySQL, and PHP. We decide on the software version and configuration on our servers, hence, software installed may not always be the latest version or compatible with your non-hosted software.

  • Hardware: Our team monitors and maintains all server hardware. Any hardware failures result in immediate replacement of the faulty equipment.

Best Effort

  • Your software, scripts, and applications: While we can't promise a resolution in every scenario, we strive to assist whenever possible. Leveraging our collective experience, we aim to identify and resolve most issues. For complex issues we can’t resolve, we’ll guide you to appropriate resources. WordPress is one of the primary applications we assist with.

Your Responsibility

  • Internet Training: Customers are encouraged to have a basic understanding of Internet concepts like DNS, email, and FTP. This knowledge aids in resolving potential issues.

  • Data Backup: Customers must maintain current backups of their data. Although we maintain our own backups for disaster recovery, we don’t guarantee the availability or restoration of lost data.

  • Domain Names: Customers must use services provided by their domain registrar for domain-related tasks. If we are not managing your DNS, you are responsible for DNS modifications to reflect your IP address, which may change without notice.

  • Email Client Configuration: We assist with basic email configurations using default clients like Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail. Advanced troubleshooting or configurations, like spam filtering, falls outside our support scope.

  • FTP Client Configuration: Extensive troubleshooting of FTP software is limited. We aim to facilitate basic account connections. Customers must use secure FTP methods like FTPES or sFTP, as standard FTP is insecure.
